MaryEllen Linnehan is a matrimonial attorney specializing in Collaborative Law and Divorce Mediation. She is Immediate Past President, New York Association of Collaborative Professionals (NYACP). In this role, she guided the growth and direction of the organization, worked with the board of directors to set policy and strategy and oversaw its numerous committees.

Ms. Linnehan is a partner at Day & Linnehan Center for Collaborative Law and Divorce Mediation, PLLC in New York City and Mount Kisco, New York. As a Collaborative attorney and divorce mediator, she has helped many of her clients achieve comprehensive, non-adversarial out of court settlements that meet the needs of the entire family. Ms. Linnehan also has experience in general, employment, and civil rights law litigation.۬۬

Ms. Linnehan frequently presents on Collaborative Law and Divorce Mediation topics to legal institutions, including Pace University School of Law, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the New York Association of Collaborative Professionals, the Westchester Women's Bar Association, and the Family and Divorce Mediation Council of Greater New York. Ms. Linnehan was an adjunct instructor in fiction writing at Brown University, Yeshiva University, Stern College, and the Gotham Writers' Workshop.

Ms. Linnehan is admitted to the Bars of New York and Massachusetts, as well as to the U.S. District Court in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of Massachusetts. She is a founding member of the NYACP's Board of Directors and has served as NYACP director since 2004. She is a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, the Family & Divorce Mediation Council of Greater New York, for whom she served as director and Vice President, the New York State Bar Association, the Westchester Women's Bar Association, and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.

A graduate of the Boston University School of Law, Ms. Linnehan won the Stone Moot Court Competition and was chosen to represent the law school in the Jessup International Moot Court Competition. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, as a double major in Biology and English from Tufts University, and a Master's degree in Fine Arts from Brown University.
