Moving Forward is a Hudson Valley based program, owned and operated by licensed mental health clinicians, targeting junk removal and emotional support for families in the region struggling with excess clutter. Think barns, basements, attics, and spare bedrooms brimming with sentimental items from the family's history, or a homeowner struggling with storage issues after a primary resident experiences loss of mobility. For major life milestones and changes in life circumstances, Moving Forward aims to merge the mental health and junk removal worlds to better support area residents.
Andrew Blizard is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York who works with adolescents, adults and families in his Hudson Valley based private practice. He is the founder of Moving Forward, a mental health informed initiative to address problematic clutter and hoarding in private residences. He is a guest speaker at the upcoming 2026 New York Mental Health Counselors Association (NYMHCA) Conference and has served in a therapist role in hospital, university, and outpatient clinical practices throughout his career. |
