Through real-world examples and thoughtful discussion, this program will examine how different disciplines understand confidentiality, how those perspectives can clash on a collaborative team, and how to navigate those moments ethically and effectively. Participants will leave with greater clarity on professional roles, informed consent, communication boundaries, and best practices for maintaining trust, both within the team and with clients.

Ken Novenstern ESQ, a partner at Fredman Baken & Novenstern, LLP in Westchester County, NY, has been practicing matrimonial law for over 37 years. The firm’s philosophy is that effective representation must reflect the unique nature of each client’s circumstances. To that end Ken Novenstern has expanded his areas of expertise beyond litigation, to mediation and collaborative law since 2004. Having seen the impact of actively litigated matters on people’s lives and finances, he has gained a greater appreciation for the importance of alternative dispute resolution methods in the matrimonial field.
