Recognizing and Repairing Microaggressions 

The very nature of human interaction is such that we can miss each other and unwittingly cause distress in personal and professional relationships. That said, microaggressions are a particular kind of injury that is based on an implication that one person is not as capable, not as educated, not as likely to be a citizen based on their racial identity. When these injuries repeat, the effect is often a chronic chipping away at the model of self at a very core level. Let's look at this together and see if we can increase our understanding and take greater care with our words.

The NYACP began presenting webinars in March and will continue to meet virtually every other Tuesday, from 8:30-9:30am, hosted by the NYC Pod, to provide a gathering place to share information, ask questions, and offer support for our community of friends and colleagues (every other Tuesday: 7/21, 8/4, 8/18, 9/1...).  

Once you complete your registration, you will recieve the log-in information, link and phone numbers in your confirmation email.  Just click on the link or dial in at the time of the meetings.  There's no password.  This is a recurring meeting, so the same link should work for subsequent webinars.
