    About my Practice

Over the past thirty years, my professional experience has covered a range of legal areas from Family Law to Elder Law, to the Trust and Estates arena. In additional to traditional legal services, my clients benefit from my unique perspective that blends training and experience with skill and empathy. I am privileged to enjoy lasting relationships with many of my clients, their extended families and friends.
During my years of practice, I learned about and quickly recognized the value of-the alternative dispute resolution approach. Today, after hundreds of hours of additional training and practice,I am fully committed to a non-litigational approach to dispute resolution, with Collaborative Practice being my 'dispute resolution process of choice.'

In terms of my professional credentals,I received my Juris Doctor degree from Hofstra University in 1981 and have been admitted to practice before the U. S Supreme Court, Courts of the State of New York, U.S. Tax Court, U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Southern districts of New York.

I am a member of the New York State Bar Association; New York State Woman's Bar Association; Nassau County Bar Association; the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys; and Nassau County Woman's Bar Association. I am a past Director of the Nassau County Bar Association, where I chaired the Elder Law, Social Services, and Health Advocacy Committee for the 1992 and 1993 terms and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee for 1999 and 2000 terms. I have been
named Co-Chair of the Collative Law Sub-Comittee of the New York State Bar Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee for the 2011-2013 terms.

I am a past Chair of the Nassau County Bar Association's Women in the Courts Committee. The Women in the Courts Sub-Committee on Matrimonial Reform helped to formulate a pilot project which was instituted in Nassau CountySupreme Court designed to expedite pendente lite relief in some matrimonial cases coming before the Court. In addition, I , together with several matrimonial colleagues, formulated the Early Neutral Evaluation Program which was used in Nassau County for several years.
